4-H Club Charters

Every year, each club needs to apply to renew their club charter.

4-H Club Charter Application Form

New clubs need to complete sections 1-7. Returning clubs need to complete the whole first page. Emerald Level Charters are awarded to clubs that meet those activity requirements.

All club paperwork is due at the first County Council Meeting in January.

Charters are awarded at Achievement Night each year. Official Cabarrus 4-H Club Charters are displayed at the Extension Office.

Starting a Club

Please complete Sections 1-7 to start your club. Only officially chartered clubs can use the 4-H logo and name in their activities. Minimum requirements include 5 enrolled members, 1 fully endorsed 4-H volunteer, club officers, plan of work and standard monthly meeting time and location.

Renewing Clubs

Please complete sections 1-7 as well as the bottom portion of the first page. Minimum requirements include all of the above, plus volunteers attending training, at least 6 meetings, one club community service project, and annual financial report for any club that has money in a checking account.

Emerald Seal

For clubs to earn this esteemed honor – and be recognized with special gifts at Achievement Night, all of the above requirements must be met, plus:  50% of club members are engaged in project activities, one club citizenship activity, youth participate in Achievement Night, and an ADDITIONAL club community service project. Document these on the second page of the 4-H Club Charter Application Form
