What is the purpose of the VLA Conference?

This event aims to provide 4-H volunteers and county agents/staff with valuable opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge through workshops and activities designed to foster positive learning experiences for young people across the state. With over 200 participants each year, this conference empowers volunteers and those working with young people to make a lasting impact on their 4-H programs and communities.The weekend kicks off on Friday with engaging group activities, followed by a full schedule on Saturday featuring educational workshops, district meetings, and awards recognition. Participants will also have ample opportunities to network and reconnect with friends, closing the event on Sunday morning with inspiration, the installation of incoming officers, and renewed commitment. We invite you to join us for this dynamic development experience, where together, we will work to “make the best better!”

Who can attend?

Any approved 4-H volunteer in 4-HOnline can attend! However, everyone who registers must be fully approved and in good standing as a volunteer in 4-HOnline.

Registration Pricing:

• • Full-Time Registration (Friday – Sunday): $210.00 (through January 17, 2025)
  • Part-Time Registration (Friday - Saturday or Saturday - Sunday) with Banquet: $165.00
  • Saturday Only Registration (No Dinner Banquet): $140.00
  • Banquet Only: $70

Registration Pricing:

• Registrations will NOT be accepted after the deadline.
• Once registration closes, cancellations will NOT be accepted.
• Please note that if a conference attendee must cancel for illness, their registration fee will be refunded minus a non-refundable $35 fee billed on the county invoice.
• Again, due to cut-off dates with the 4-HOnline system, registration will be done through Google Forms instead of 4-H Online. This allows volunteers the flexibility to register themselves for the conference.

Payment Information

• ALL payments for volunteer registrations will be collected in the county offices. The State 4-H Office cannot invoice individual volunteers.
• Counties will then be invoiced for all registrations after registration closes.
• Registrations will be shared with county 4-H professionals to ensure a correct registration list.
