Beginning in 2017, Millstone 4-H Camp has hosted its annual Bluegrass benefit concert, Pickin in the Pines, to raise scholarship money for our youth to attend summer camp. We are proud to say that, with the help of sponsors and attendees, we have sent over 75 youth to camp through ticket sales and silent auction purchases! This event is one way we try to reach our goal of no child being denied an enriching summer camp experience just because of an inability to pay.
Pickin’ in the Pines is our only “adult-only” event. Each purchase of a ticket includes a BBQ meal, beer/wine, live performances from chart-topping bluegrass bands, silent auction entrance, and admittance to our pre-show jam session.
We offer cabin rentals for those who would like to keep the momentum going and enjoy an overnight stay on our historical site. Contact us if interested.
Bring camp chairs and blankets. This is an outdoor event on the lawn. We will move inside if it rains.
All proceeds provide scholarships to help send underserved youth to camp at Millstone.
The fantastic bands performing this year are The Amanda Cook Band and the Red Camel Collective.
