North Carolina 4-H public speaking and presentation contests help teach youth life skills that w4-H-Clover_codediag_line_WEill give them a lifetime of opportunities. Developing effective public speaking skills is one of the most important skills we can teach our youth.

4-H members will participate in presentation competitions in over 32 categories on the District level beginning this month. The Northeast District Activity Day hosted by Beaufort County will be held Saturday May 14 at Southside High School in Chocowinity and the Southeast District will hold their District Competition at Lenoir Community College hosted by Lenoir, Wayne, Wilson and Johnston Counties.

Other District Presentation Activity Days are:

South Central – June 4th – Hoke High School hosted by Hoke County

West – June 19 – Western Carolina University hosted by Jackson County

North Central – June18 – Yadkinville Elementary School hosted by Yadkin County.
