North Carolina 4-H Shooting Sports Teams Place at National 4-H Shooting Sports Tournament

On June 24-29, 2018, a total of 46 youth participants and adult coaches from across North Carolina traveled to Grand Island, Nebraska to compete in the annual National 4-H Shooting Sports Tournament. North Carolina placed fifth overall out of thirty-nine states represented.

The following are the final team results for the different disciplines:

  • Air Pistol – 12th place
  • Air Rifle – 17th place
  • Compound Archery – 2nd place
  • Hunting Skills – 7th place
  • Muzzle Loading – 12th place
  • Recurve Archery – 5th place
  • Shotgun – 16th place
  • Smallbore Platol – 4th place
  • Smallbore Rifle – 7th place
