On Thursday, January 10, 2019, the CEO’s from AgCarolina Farm Credit, Cape Fear Farm Credit, and Carolina Farm Credit presented a check for $105,000 to North Carolina 4-H and FFA, which was raised through the 2018 Pull for Youth sporting clays events across North Carolina. The Pull for Youth events are another way the Farm Credit Associations of North Carolina are giving back to the future of agriculture throughout North Carolina.

Vance Dalton, President and CEO of Carolina Farm Credit, said “In 2018, given the stress and the things that happened in agriculture, we were kind of worried how things would turn out. But the sponsors stepped up and came out and people came out in some pretty wet and cold weather and shot.”

According to the Farm Credit’s website, “Agriculture is the number one industry in North Carolina and by providing funds to NC 4-H and FFA, we are working together to make sure tomorrow’s leaders in agriculture have a bright future. Join us as we work together to honor the contributions of these organizations and enable opportunities for young people in our communities.”

Funding received from the Pull for Youth events is being used to support 4-H and FFA programs in North Carolina. Thank you to the Farm Credit Associations for their generous support of these organizations and our youth!
