Green 4-H Clover with the words Beyond Ready stacked on top of each other to the right.North Carolina 4-H Celebrates a Successful District Presentation Competition Season

North Carolina 4-H is proud to celebrate the hard work and achievements of our 4-H’ers, agents, staff, parents, and volunteers following a successful run of District 4-H Presentation Competitions across the state. Over the past week, all five districts hosted their annual presentation events, showcasing the dedication, preparation, and talent of youth from every corner of North Carolina.

A special thank-you goes out to the host counties in each district for their time, hospitality, and coordination efforts that made these events possible. Their support was instrumental in providing a positive experience for all participants.

This year’s district participation numbers were strong:

  • South Central District – 165 participants

  • Southeast District – 169 participants

  • North Central District – 71 participants

  • West District – 94 participants

  • Northeast District – 168 participants

Congratulations to all of the youth who took part in this enriching program. District gold and silver medalists now advance to compete at the State 4-H Presentation Finals, which will be held in July.

The 4-H Presentation Program is a cornerstone of the Beyond Ready 4-H Initiative, which prepares young people with the communication and leadership skills they need to succeed in life. This initiative emphasizes the development of essential life skills—such as public speaking, critical thinking, organization, and confidence—that help youth become workforce-ready, community-minded, and future-focused.

Through their participation in presentations, youth gain valuable experience that will serve them well in school, careers, and community leadership. The continued success of the program is a testament to the commitment and passion of the entire 4-H community.

Congratulations again to everyone involved for an outstanding 2025 District Presentation season!
