Civic Engagement Virtual Summer Program

Are you a teen (aged 13-18) interested in gaining a deeper understanding of yourself and others as you explore your own background, cultural knowledge, beliefs, and attitudes? If so, this 7-week summer program is for you!

Beginning on June 23rd, we will meet once a week via Zoom and participate in games, simulation activities, group discussions, and self-completed projects. Each participant will complete a cool final project, will receive a t-shirt, and we will celebrate with a multicultural virtual party at the end of the program.

Week 1 (June 23): Cultural Inclusivity simulation game (group meets online)

Week 2 (June 30): Self Awareness

Week 3 (July 7): Expanding Cultural Knowledge

Week 4 (July 14): Exploring Beliefs and Attitudes

Week 5 (July 21): Skills and Behaviors

Week 6 (July 28): Taking it Beyond Myself – complete a cool final project

Week 7 (August 4): Multicultural Virtual Party (online, music, food, completion awards)

This virtual summer program will utilize the Seeing i2i 4-H Curriculum produced by Nebraska 4-H.

Ages: 13-18

Cost: $12 (t-shirt, postage, fees)

Delivery method: Virtual. Live sessions on Tuesdays from 4:00-5:30 p.m.

Open to all youth. 4-H membership is NOT required. 

This session is closed for 2020.
