North Carolina 4-H VLA Leadership

North Carolina 4-H Volunteer Leaders' Association Lockup.

Association Information

The North Carolina 4-H Volunteer Leaders’ Association (NC4-HVLA) is led by a team of elected volunteer officers who represent and support 4-H volunteers across the state. These officers work in partnership with 4-H staff to strengthen volunteer engagement, share information, and help provide opportunities for training, recognition, and involvement.

State officers help coordinate statewide efforts, communicate important updates, and assist with planning volunteer activities and events, including the Volunteer Leaders’ Conference. They also serve as a voice for volunteers by sharing ideas and feedback from local programs and helping connect volunteers with resources and support.

District Volunteer Leaders’ Associations and their officers provide similar support at the regional level. District officers encourage participation, assist with communication between counties, and help coordinate activities that bring volunteers together within their area.

Together, state and district VLA officers help build connections among volunteers and support the continued success of 4-H programs throughout North Carolina.
