NC 4-H Congress Seeks Campus and Community Partners to Ignite Youth “Sparks” Through Educational Tours and Experiences

RALEIGH, NC — NC 4-H is excited to invite NC State University faculty, staff, campus, and community partners to help bring learning to life during the 2025 NC 4-H Congress, held at the Jane S. McKimmon Center and scheduled for July 21–25, 2025, in Raleigh. One of the week’s many highlights will be an exceptional opportunity for youth delegates to explore academic and career pathways through on-campus and local community partner educational tours and hands-on experiences on Wednesday, July 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m..

Each summer, NC 4-H Congress brings together hundreds of teen leaders from across the state for leadership development, civic engagement, and exploration of college and career opportunities. This year, NC 4-H is seeking individuals, departments, and community supporters who are willing to host youth groups for engaging tours, activities, or presentations that showcase a field of study or professional expertise — what we call “sparks” in 4-H.

“We believe every young person deserves the opportunity to discover what excites them and explore future possibilities,” said Dr. Autumn Cano-Guin. “We’re asking our NC State and area communities to join us in being the spark that inspires a young person’s journey.”

Participants will travel from and return to the McKimmon Center, with transportation and lunch coordinated by NC 4-H. Hosts are asked to provide a dynamic experience — whether in a lab, classroom, studio, or field setting — that introduces youth to your work, your passion, and why it matters.

Interested in providing an opportunity for this year’s delegates, you can complete the interest form linked below to share your availability, group capacity, and any session details:
