Collapse ▲There are few tools as powerful as the camp experience to positively impact the lives of young people. Every year we raise funds to provide full and partial scholarships for youth from vulnerable populations to attend camp to ensure that the young people who need camp the most have the means to get there.
Since launching our camp scholarship program in 2019, we’ve provided the life-changing camp experience to over 900 youth and their families. See the impact we are making in the lives of young people by viewing the video below, and then . . .
BECOME A PART OF THE DIFFERENCE WE ARE MAKING!
Full and partial camp scholarships are given to youth from vulnerable populations every summer to attend camp at the Betsy-Jeff Penn 4-H Center, the Eastern 4-H Center, and Millstone 4-H Camp. Youth are selected through a competitive application process. Applications for scholarships are submitted through your local county 4-H Agent annually from January to April. Contact your local county 4-H Agent if you are interested in applying.
Vulnerable youth populations include youth from low-income families, underrepresented youth, youth of color, Native American youth, immigrant youth, youth living with disabilities, youth experiencing challenges with mental health and wellbeing, youth from opioid impacted communities, youth residing in foster care, youth from military families, LGBTQ+ youth, youth experiencing homelessness, disconnected youth who have dropped out of school or are at risk of dropping out of school, and youth who are engaged or at risk of becoming engaged in the juvenile justice system.
